September sure does have a way of sneaking up on you, doesn't it?!? One day you’re still in summer mode, and the next the air shifts, the schedule fills back up, and suddenly everyone around you is coughing.
Kids are back in classrooms swapping germs and the rest of us are back in offices, back in routines, back in closer contact with more people than we were all summer.
This is the time of year when most people start thinking about immune support, and honestly, that’s the right instinct. Fall and winter ask a lot of our immune systems. The difference between people who sail through the season and people who spend it constantly run down usually comes down to how well they’ve been supporting their body before things get hard.
This month, I want to help you build that foundation. Because a little intentional support now goes a long way when everyone around you is getting sick in October.

Featured Class: Immune System 101
Did you know that your immune system has a memory or that your symptoms aren’t the enemy?
Most of us know we should “support our immune system,” but not many people actually understand how the immune system works, what weakens it, or what we can realistically do to strengthen it. That’s exactly what this class covers.
Immune System 101 walks through the basics in a way that’s easy to understand and genuinely practical. It covers:
- How the immune system actually works, including the difference between the innate and adaptive immune response
- The most common signs that your immune system is struggling and needs more support
- Foods and herbs that have been shown to support immune function (some of these might surprise you)
- How essential oils, including the Thieves and Vitality lines, can play a role in daily immune support
- The Young Living supplements most worth having on hand heading into fall
- Simple lifestyle habits that make a bigger difference than most people realize
If you’ve ever felt like you catch everything that’s going around, or you just want to feel more confident heading into cold and flu season, this is a great place to start.
5 Simple Ways to Support Your Immune System This Fall
You don’t need a complicated protocol to keep your immune system strong. These five habits are practical, easy to work into a normal routine, and make a big difference. Save this graphic for quick reference.
1. Take care of your gut
Nearly 70% of your immune system lives in your gut. Filling it with good bacteria through a quality probiotic like Life 9 helps your body digest nutrients properly and supports your immune response from the inside out. It’s one of the most overlooked immune support habits there is.
2. Prioritize sleep
Getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep is one of the single most effective things you can do for immune health. When you’re sleep deprived, your body produces fewer infection-fighting cells and your recovery time slows significantly. A consistent bedtime matters more than most people give it credit for.
3. Manage stress where you can
Chronic stress keeps your body stuck in fight-or-flight mode, which over time suppresses immune function. Even small resets help, whether that’s a few minutes of deep breathing, a walk outside, or diffusing something calming like Lavender or Stress Away at the end of the day.
4. Keep your vitamin D levels up
Most people are deficient in vitamin D heading into fall, and it’s one of the most important nutrients for a healthy immune response. As the days get shorter and sun exposure decreases, a quality supplement like Super Vitamin D is worth adding to your daily routine.
5. Diffuse Thieves in shared spaces
Whether it’s your home, your car, or your desk at work, diffusing Thieves while you’re back in closer contact with more people is one of the easiest things you can do this season. It smells like fall and your immune system will thank you.

Two Fall Recipes to Support Your Immune System
Both of these are powerful fall routines. Simple to make, easy to keep up with, and actually enjoyable. This tea smells incredible and has become my go-to when I feel like I need to stay ahead of something.

Note: You can substitute a dropperful of Deep Spectra Phyto Nutrition for the Orange & Frankincense Vitality oils.
September is the setup month. What you do now, the habits you build, the products you add, the routines you put in place, determines how you feel in October, November, and beyond.
Your immune system is working for you every single day. Give it something to work with.
