Meet Lana Ross

Welcome to our world of wellness! Our journey with essential oils began in 2003 when we faced a challenging time as the medical world seemed to have no answers for my husband. A friend recommended we go to an essential oils class and we discovered the transformative power of essential oils - a miraculous answer to prayer!

The amazing results sparked a passion to delve deeper into the realm of natural therapies, especially essential oils. Inspired by my own experience, I dedicated myself to helping others explore the remarkable benefits of essential oils. Over the years, it has become my life's mission to empower individuals and families to take charge of their wellness naturally.

Whether you're new to essential oils or a seasoned enthusiast, I'm here to help you on your wellness journey with Young Living. Together, we can unlock nature’s treasures and embrace a healthier lifestyle. Let's embark on this adventure and discover the holistic benefits that essential oils can bring to your life.

September Newsletter

September sure does have a way of sneaking up on you, doesn't it?!? One day you’re still in summer mode, and the next the air shifts, the schedule fills back up, and suddenly everyone around you is coughing.
Kids are back in classrooms swapping germs and the rest of us are back in offices, back in routines, back in closer contact with more people than we were all summer.
This is the time of year when most people start thinking about immune support, and honestly, that’s the right instinct. Fall and winter ask a lot of our immune systems. The difference between people who sail through the season and people who spend it constantly run down usually comes down to how well they’ve been supporting their body before things get hard.
This month, I want to help you build that foundation. Because a little intentional support now goes a long way when everyone around you is getting sick in October.

Featured Class: Immune System 101

Did you know that your immune system has a memory or that your symptoms aren’t the enemy?
Most of us know we should “support our immune system,” but not many people actually understand how the immune system works, what weakens it, or what we can realistically do to strengthen it. That’s exactly what this class covers.

Immune System 101 walks through the basics in a way that’s easy to understand and genuinely practical. It covers:
  • How the immune system actually works, including the difference between the innate and adaptive immune response
  • The most common signs that your immune system is struggling and needs more support
  • Foods and herbs that have been shown to support immune function (some of these might surprise you)
  • How essential oils, including the Thieves and Vitality lines, can play a role in daily immune support
  • The Young Living supplements most worth having on hand heading into fall
  • Simple lifestyle habits that make a bigger difference than most people realize
If you’ve ever felt like you catch everything that’s going around, or you just want to feel more confident heading into cold and flu season, this is a great place to start.

5 Simple Ways to Support Your Immune System This Fall

You don’t need a complicated protocol to keep your immune system strong. These five habits are practical, easy to work into a normal routine, and make a big difference. Save this graphic for quick reference.

1. Take care of your gut

Nearly 70% of your immune system lives in your gut. Filling it with good bacteria through a quality probiotic like Life 9 helps your body digest nutrients properly and supports your immune response from the inside out. It’s one of the most overlooked immune support habits there is.

2. Prioritize sleep

Getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep is one of the single most effective things you can do for immune health. When you’re sleep deprived, your body produces fewer infection-fighting cells and your recovery time slows significantly. A consistent bedtime matters more than most people give it credit for.

3. Manage stress where you can

Chronic stress keeps your body stuck in fight-or-flight mode, which over time suppresses immune function. Even small resets help, whether that’s a few minutes of deep breathing, a walk outside, or diffusing something calming like Lavender or Stress Away at the end of the day.

4. Keep your vitamin D levels up

Most people are deficient in vitamin D heading into fall, and it’s one of the most important nutrients for a healthy immune response. As the days get shorter and sun exposure decreases, a quality supplement like Super Vitamin D is worth adding to your daily routine.

5. Diffuse Thieves in shared spaces

Whether it’s your home, your car, or your desk at work, diffusing Thieves while you’re back in closer contact with more people is one of the easiest things you can do this season. It smells like fall and your immune system will thank you.

These are the products I recommend building your fall immune support routine around. Start wherever feels right, add on from there, and live above the wellness line.

Good: Essential Foundation (100+ PV)

The essentials for daily immune support heading into fall. These three cover your vitamin C, your gut health, and a foundational diffuser blend for shared spaces.
  • Super C™: supports normal immune, respiratory, and circulatory function with added bioflavonoids for better absorption
  • Life 9®: a high-potency probiotic with 17 billion live cultures to support gut health, which is where nearly 70% of the immune system lives

Combined total: approximately 109.25 PV

Better: Level Up (add these to clear 200 PV)

Add these to your Good order to bring in deeper nutritional support and vitamin D, one of the most commonly deficient and immune-critical nutrients heading into the darker months:
  • Oregano Vitality™ (5ml): one of the most potent immune-supporting oils in the Vitality line, great added to a capsule or a drop in water
  • Thieves® Household Cleaner: plant-based concentrated cleaner for the whole home, so the surfaces your family touches every day are as clean as your supplements

Two Fall Recipes to Support Your Immune System

Both of these are powerful fall routines. Simple to make, easy to keep up with, and actually enjoyable. This tea smells incredible and has become my go-to when I feel like I need to stay ahead of something.

Note:  You can substitute a dropperful of Deep Spectra Phyto Nutrition for the Orange & Frankincense Vitality oils.

September is the setup month. What you do now, the habits you build, the products you add, the routines you put in place, determines how you feel in October, November, and beyond.

Your immune system is working for you every single day. Give it something to work with.

August Newsletter

Happy August!
August has a certain feeling to it, doesn’t it? Something shifts. The days are still warm, but there’s that unmistakable pull of a new season coming, a new routine taking shape, a fresh start on the horizon.
Whether you’re a teacher heading back into the classroom, a student getting ready for a new school year, a college kid moving into a dorm for the first time, or someone who just spent the summer in slower gear and now gearing back up, August asks a lot of our brains.
New schedules. New demands. The mental load of transitioning from one season to the next. It’s a lot to carry, and most of us don’t give our brains nearly enough credit for what they do every single day.
Let’s change that this month. Because before we pile on the to-do lists and the early alarm clocks and the packed lunches, it’s worth pausing to ask: what are we actually doing to take care of the thing running the whole show?
That’s exactly what this month’s class is all about.

Featured Class: Seven Ways to Love Your Brain
The brain is the control center of everything. It drives your thoughts, your mood, your energy, your memory, and yes, your ability to survive the first week back at school or work after a summer off. And yet most of us give it almost no intentional support.
This class walks through seven practical, accessible ways to give your brain what it actually needs, whether you’re a student trying to stay focused during long study sessions, a teacher managing a full classroom, or just someone who wants to feel sharper and less foggy heading into fall.
It covers:
  • How to fuel your brain with the right foods, and which ones make the biggest difference
  • One of the most powerful things you can do for cognitive health that most people skip daily
  • Simple ways to challenge your mind and keep it sharp day to day
  • How essential oils connect directly to the brain’s emotional and memory centers through your sense of smell (and why it matters)
  • Which Young Living supplements are worth adding to support focus, clarity, and overall brain function
  • Why rest and stress management matter more than most people realize
  • How honoring your mental and emotional health is just as important as the physical side
It’s one of those classes that makes you want to take notes, which is fitting, really.

If you have elementary school age children or grandchildren, you may want to check out the Back-to-School link HERE.

Simple Swaps for a Sharper Back-to-School Season

Some of the most effective brain support habits are just small upgrades to things you’re already doing.
